The DECIDE project holds its 2nd in-person General Assembly

From June 27-28, the DECIDE consortium gathered for the 2023 in-person General Assembly meeting. Bringing together just over 50 attendees from all 19 project partners, the event marked the successful start of the second half of the DECIDE project.

"Discuss, update, socialise!"

“Discuss progress, challenges and successes, stay up-to-date with the activities, and socialise!” With these words, DECIDE project coordinator Gerdien van Schaik (UU) set the tone for this year’s DECIDE in-person General Assembly meeting hosted from June 27-28 by project partner University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The two-day event marked the start of the second half of the DECIDE project and enabled the consortium to reflect on progress, highlights and challenges – and also discuss the joint way forward.

The meeting agenda included thorough updates and presentations from all work packages as well as data groups, providing current insights into the ongoing pig, cattle, poultry and salmon pilot implementations. In-plenum, the meeting participants shared valuable input, questions and feedback on the project’s findings and developments.

Not only science, also socialising: as a social activity, the UCPH team kindly planned a trip to “Bakken” – the world’s oldest amusement park just outside of Copenhagen. During a walk through the park and a joint dinner, the participants had the chance to (re)-connect and catch-up about the project and beyond.

With new learnings, impressions and updates on the ongoing work done in the DECIDE project, the consortium is now ready to commence the second half of the DECIDE journey.

We want to thank all participants for shaping the meeting with their insightful presentations and input, and the team at the University of Copenhagen for organising and hosting the successful second in-person meeting of the DECIDE project.
