The DECIDE Cookbook is a practical guidance resource developed within WP3: Integration of data tools in disease control programmes. Drawing on DECIDE’s experience in developing data-driven decision support tools, it presents a clear and accessible framework for turning data, modelling and stakeholder input into tools that can support disease control in livestock and aquaculture sectors. The Cookbook guides users through the main steps of tool development, from defining stakeholder needs and identifying quality data sources to designing, deploying, evaluating and sustaining decision support tools. It highlights the importance of co-creation, iterative testing, transparent data use and long-term sustainability.
