Today marked the Kick-off of DECIDE H2020, which brings together 19 partners from 11 European countries to address non-EU-regulated contagious animal diseases through data-driven control and prioritisation.
In the next 5 years, this consortium will aim to tackle a lack of information on the prevalence and burden of these diseases in cattle, pigs, poultry and salmonids. Ultimately, DECIDE’s objective is to ensure that farmers, veterinarians and other animal health managers can make better decisions in favour of animal welfare and the sustainability of the livestock and aquaculture sectors.
