DECIDE at ESPHM 2025, Bern

We are proud to share that DECIDE project partners took part in the European Symposium of Porcine Health Management (ESPHM 2025), held from 21–23 May in Bern, Switzerland.

This landmark in-person event – jointly organised by the ECPHM and VPC – brought together leading experts in swine health, veterinary practice, and diagnostics. With a rich programme of keynotes, round tables, and scientific sessions, ESPHM 2025 was a valuable platform for collaboration and learning.

Our partners contributed three poster presentations showcasing DECIDE findings:

  • Tijs Tobias presented on combined laboratory and slaughter data for respiratory health decision-making.

  • Beatriz Garcia Morante introduced the Pig Barometer, a pilot tool for mapping test results and pathogen geolocation in Spain.

  • Marloes Boeters shared a model on the burden of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae to support farm-level decision making.

The posters were available digitally and are accessible to attendees and ECPHM diplomates. Conference participants engaged with our work, including one who submitted a digital question, highlighting the interest and relevance of our research.

Participation in ESPHM 2025 is part of our ongoing commitment to sharing DECIDE’s progress with the international community and advancing data-driven tools for animal health management.
