Upcoming: GBADs & DECIDE seminar series

GBADs and DECIDE – exploring the burden of animal diseases and ranking of disease intervention” – is the title of the first edition of the GBADs and DECIDE seminar series hosted by DECIDE project coordinator Gerdien van Schaik (UU) and GBADs Programme director Jonathan Rushton (UoL) taking place on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. No registration needed.

In this session, Prof. Jonathan Rushton (UoL) and Prof. Gerdien van Schaik (UU) will explore the objectives, overlaps and challenges of both projects, dive into their collaboration on the DECIDE work package 4, what it means to explore the burden of animal diseases – globally and on farm level – and how this data can be used to inform and rank disease intervention.

The remit of both DECIDE and GBADs overlap in that the end goal is to assist informed decision making towards improved animal health management. The data flows generated by DECIDE and the GBADs methodologies are cornerstones in the deciding governmental and non-governmental responses to animal health issues.
